Introducing Trunk Sharing – A Game-Changer for Cloud PBX Management

We’re excited to announce the latest feature added to the Yeastar Central Management (YCM) platform: Trunk Sharing – a powerful tool designed to simplify SIP trunk and DID management for service providers deploying Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBXs.

At Electronic Frontier, we’re always looking for innovations that help our reseller partners improve efficiency and scale with confidence. With this update, MSPs, ITSPs, and telecom resellers can centralise their SIP trunk configurations, streamline operations, and reduce administrative overhead across multiple cloud PBX instances.

What Is Trunk Sharing?

Trunk Sharing allows service providers to create and manage a single SIP trunk configuration within the YCM platform, then assign it to multiple PBX instances within the same region. This means:

  • No more setting up individual trunks for each PBX.

  • Instant propagation of changes across all linked PBXs.

  • A simplified interface for assigning and managing DID numbers.

All trunk resources are locked and controlled from YCM, preventing accidental changes on the PBX side — maintaining consistency and operational integrity.

Key Benefits for Service Providers

With Trunk Sharing, Yeastar partners can:

✅ Centralise SIP trunk & DID management
✅ Speed up deployment with a single trunk setup
✅ Reduce server costs by optimising SBC usage
✅ Avoid carrier blocklists with dedicated SBC proxies
✅ Improve visibility across shared resources
✅ Simplify DID routing with bulk import and assignment tools

For BYOI partners, Trunk Sharing will be available on your YCM instance from 9 June 2025 — so stay tuned!

Yeastar recently hosted a live stream unveiling the new feature, alongside other exciting updates like CRM integration templates and Dynamics 365 CRM support.

Why It Matters

Before Trunk Sharing, setting up SIP trunks across multiple PBXs meant repetitive configurations, isolated DID pools, and increased risk of error. Now, with one centralised platform, you can:

Before After
10 PBXs = 10 SIP trunks 10 PBXs = 1 shared SIP trunk
Scattered DID numbers Centralised and assignable DIDs
Manual updates Centralised control from YCM

Future-Proof Your ITSP Business

Trunk Sharing is just one part of Yeastar’s broader UCaaS strategy to help service providers scale, improve security, and offer reliable, cloud-first communications to their clients.
