✨ AI-Powered UC: What’s New in Yeastar P-Series (Sep 2025)

Since July, Yeastar has been enhancing the P-Series PBX System with AI-powered features such as Voicemail Transcription and Text-to-Speech, giving businesses smarter tools to streamline communication and reduce costs.

Now, Yeastar is taking things a step further. The September 2025 update introduces AI Call Transcription & Summary, Virtual Fax, and WebSocket for Audio Streaming, all designed to make PBX smarter, more productive, and better connected.

Read on for a breakdown of the latest features and why they matter for your business.

AI Call Transcription & Summary

No more scrambling to take notes during calls. Yeastar’s AI Call Transcription & Summary feature:

  • 📝 Transcribes calls in real time — follow along without missing a word.

  • 🔍 Creates an instant recap — key points, action items, and decisions are automatically captured.

  • 📂 Improves record-keeping — search and review past conversations directly in your call log.

This tool acts like your personal AI assistant, ensuring that every call turns into actionable insights — boosting focus, efficiency, and collaboration.

WebSocket for Audio Streams Transmission

The P-Series PBX now supports one-way audio streaming via WebSocket, enabling deeper integration with external systems.

This means you can:

  • Stream real-time PBX audio data packets (call ID, channel ID, and more).

  • Connect directly with third-party transcription, speech analytics, or AI tools.

It’s a powerful feature for businesses looking to innovate with AI-driven call analysis and reporting.

Virtual Fax

Faxing is far from dead, but the old machines are. Yeastar’s new Virtual Fax modernises the process:

  • Send and receive faxes directly through the Linkus Web or Desktop Client.

  • Create personalised cover pages at the extension level.

  • Receive optional email copies of incoming faxes.

  • Check fax logs for real-time status tracking.

No more paper jams, noisy connections, or costly equipment — just a streamlined, digital faxing experience built right into your PBX.

Additional Optimisations

The update also includes:

  • 📞 Emergency Number Trunk Assignment – assign trunks for faster, reliable emergency calls.

  • 🔑 Expanded Role Menu Permissions – more flexibility for branch administrators.

  • 🚦 New Function Key: Set Presence – update call status quickly for better handling.

Electronic Frontier Limited is classed as a producer with respect to EEE for “users other than private households” under The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013.

Regulation 12 places an obligation on Electronic Frontier Limited to finance the costs of treatment, and environmentally sound disposal of waste electronic equipment (WEEE) from our customers where that WEEE:

  2. (II)

Is composed of Electronic Frontier Limited supplied equipment purchased by our customers after 13th August 2005.

Where Electronic Frontier Limited is responsible for WEEE under the scenario above, it is the responsibility of the customer to deliver the WEEE in question to Electronic Frontier Limited’s chosen recycling facility or designated address, after which point, we will accept any further treatment or recycling costs.

To arrange a delivery of WEEE, please contact Electronic Frontier Limited operations@elecfron.com to allow us to ensure that the correct procedures can be applied.
